The badge SVG is regenerated by our edge worker every time a receipt is logged for that vendor. Caches for 5 minutes at our edge and 60 seconds at the client (via Cache-Control: max-age=60, s-maxage=300) so you're never serving stale data more than ~5 minutes off live.
The badge's color band matches the vendor's current Nerf Index band - calm, watch, shrinking, predator. Click-through goes to the vendor's full receipt page.
